Turning on push notifications
Three switches need to be on: consent, the system permission and the setting in the app.
Push notifications tell you about event updates, reminders, friend requests, guestlist tickets and support replies. For them to arrive, three things need to be on.
1. Consent in the app
On first launch, Let’s Rave asks for your consent to notifications. You can change it later under Settings → Privacy / consent in the Push category.
2. Device permission
- Android: The system asks when you switch push on. Later: system settings → Apps → Let’s Rave → Notifications.
- Browser (web app): The browser asks when you switch push on. Later via the padlock icon in the address bar → Notifications.
3. Switch in the app
Turn on Settings → Notifications → Push notifications. Below it, choose your topics: event updates, friend activity, support. Support push requires the global push switch above.
Where push works
In the Android app and in the web app in current browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge; Safari on Mac). On iPhone, web push works if you have added Let’s Rave to your home screen and launch it from there.
Email instead of push
Event reminders and support replies can also, or instead, arrive by email. Email (support) is transactional and independent of the newsletter. See Newsletter and emails.
