Changing location and radius
How Let’s Rave determines your location, how to set postcode and radius, and what location sharing means for friends.
Where your location comes from
Let’s Rave uses your device location if you allow it, otherwise your postcode, or as a fallback a rough IP-based location. The postcode is stored only on your device, not on the server.
Setting location and radius
- Tap the location at the top (or Set location during onboarding).
- Enter postcode and country, for example
10115andDE. - Set the radius in kilometres.
- Save: “Location saved.”
The radius decides which events and raves appear in lists and recommendations.
Location is wrong
- Allow the app location access in your system settings, or
- set the postcode again.
On the raver map, Refresh location re-reads the device location.
Location sharing with friends
Separate from that is location sharing: it shows friends where you are right now (Rave Buddy). It is off by default, and you decide who may see your location. Toggle it under Location sharing in the settings.
