Creating a collective
An artist profile is required. Then invite members, assign roles, chat with your collective.
A collective is the crew behind events: DJs, organizers, team. It has a profile, members with roles, a chat and can create raves and events.
Requirement: artist profile
Collectives are founded by artists. If you don’t have an artist profile yet, create it under Profile → Register as artist; an artist name is enough, the description is optional.
Creating a collective
- Open the Collectives area.
- Tap New collective and enter a name and description.
- Save. You are the collective’s admin.
Inviting members
Invitations to a collective go via email address. If the person already has an account, they see the invitation in the app and accept it there; if not, they receive an invitation email with a code for their first sign-in (there is no password). What it looks like for the invitee: Joining a collective.
Roles
Admins manage members, events and settings; members contribute without admin rights. Give the admin role to at least two people: a collective with a single admin is orphaned as soon as that person deletes their account.
Chat
Every collective has a chat for its members. It is not end-to-end encrypted: only members can read it, but technically we as the operator can too. As admin you don’t need to distribute or renew any keys, and members don’t need to keep a recovery key; see The recovery key no longer exists.
