Refunding a ticket
As an organization admin you refund in the app, in full including the booking fee or partially.
Only an admin of the organization that owns the event can refund. The refund runs through your Stripe account, because you are the seller.
How to refund
- Open the ticket in the event’s ticket overview.
- Tap Refund.
- Choose full or enter a partial amount. Confirm.
The ticket becomes invalid immediately; the QR code no longer works. The amount goes back to the buyer’s payment method and shows up there after 5 to 10 business days depending on the bank.
Booking fee
On a full refund, for example after a cancellation, the buyer also gets the booking fee back; the platform share is credited to you. Only in justified cases (the buyer is responsible for the refund) can you exclude the fee from the refund.
A partial refund is a goodwill adjustment: the ticket remains, only the amount is corrected.
Event cancelled
Cancel the event in the app, then refund all tickets in full. Buyers see the cancellation in the app and receive a notification. See Cancelling a rave.
Common messages
- Ticket already refunded: A ticket can only be refunded once.
- No order for this ticket: Guestlist spots have no payment and can’t be refunded; remove the guest instead.
- Not authorized: Only organization admins may refund, not crew or scanner roles.
